iii And so the steward said to himself, "Now that my chief is taking the stewardship from me, what am I to do? Dig? I am not strong enough. Get begging? I should exist too ashamed.
four Ah, I know what I will do to make sure that when I am dismissed from part there volition be some to welcome me into their homes."
v 'Then he chosen his main'south debtors ane by one. To the first he said, "How much exercise you owe my main?"
6 "One hundred measures of oil," he said. The steward said, "Hither, take your bond; sit down downwardly and chop-chop write fifty."
7 To another he said, "And you, sir, how much do you owe?" "One hundred measures of wheat," he said. The steward said, "Here, take your bond and write lxxx."
8 'The master praised the dishonest steward for his astuteness. For the children of this world are more astute in dealing with their own kind than are the children of light.'
ix 'And and so I tell you lot this: use money, tainted as information technology is, to win you friends, and thus make certain that when it fails you, they volition welcome yous into eternal dwellings.
10 Anyone who is trustworthy in little things is trustworthy in great; anyone who is dishonest in little things is quack in great.
11 If then you lot are not trustworthy with money, that tainted affair, who will trust you with genuine riches?
12 And if y'all are not trustworthy with what is non yours, who will give you what is your very own?

Reading 2, First Timothy 2:1-8
1 I urge then, first of all that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving should exist offered for anybody,
2 for kings and others in authority, then that we may exist able to live peaceful and serenity lives with all devotion and propriety.
3 To do this is right, and adequate to God our Saviour:
4 he wants anybody to be saved and achieve full knowledge of the truth.
5 For in that location is but one God, and there is only i mediator between God and humanity, himself a man existence, Christ Jesus,
six who offered himself as a ransom for all. This was the witness given at the appointed time,
7 of which I was appointed herald and campaigner and -- I am telling the truth and no lie -- a teacher of the gentiles in faith and truth.
8 In every place, then, I want the men to lift their hands upwards reverently in prayer, with no acrimony or statement.
