Tensions ignited by an on-courtroom shove Monday carried onto social media on Tuesday between the Morris and Jokic brothers.

They also led to the NBA suspending Denver Nuggets center and reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic for one game without pay and fining Miami Heat forrad Markieff Morris $l,000 for a flagrant foul. Miami's Jimmy Butler was also fined $30,000 for "attempting to escalate the altercation." Jokic will miss Wednesday's game against the Indiana Pacers.

Jokic was ejected from Monday's game confronting the Miami Heat later a retaliatory shove to the dorsum of Miami's Markieff Morris. Jokic took exception to a hard foul past Morris near midcourt that officials ruled a flagrant ii upon review. Morris body checked Jokic and elbowed him in the ribs, then walked away before Jokic chased him down from backside and shoved him to the courtroom.

Players from both teams met at midcourt equally Estrus forrad Jimmy Butler shouted toward the Nuggets bench. Subsequently the game, Morris' twin brother and Los Angeles Clippers frontwards Marcus Morris tweeted his thoughts with a proposition that he'd keep the incident in heed moving forward.

Jokic'south brothers, Strahinja and Nemanja, don't play in the NBA. Merely they were in the stands for Monday's game. And they were on social media Tuesday to respond to Marcus. They let Marcus know they were ready whenever he was.

The Denver Post reports that the tweet indeed came from Strahinja and Nemanja. They manifestly created the account early Tuesday only to respond to Marcus. They got Marcus' attention, and the accounts continued to trade barbs Tuesday afternoon.

Marcus then shared his thoughts on Pull a fast one on Sports' Shannon Sharpe's accept that Nikola was correct to defend himself earlier evidently signing off at the bidding of his female parent.

Markieff, meanwhile appeared to be taking information technology all in stride on Tuesday.

Nikola is non on Twitter and hadn't been heard from publicly equally of Tuesday afternoon since his postgame comments Mon nighttime.

"Information technology'southward a stupid play," Jokic told reporters. "I experience bad. I am not supposed to react that way."

He also clarified that he thought Markieff's foul was "muddy."

"I call back it was a dirty play," Jokic continued. "And I just needed to protect myself. I felt bad, I am not supposed to react that way, but I demand to protect myself."

Information technology all adds up to ongoing beefiness between the Nuggets and Heat. Butler was blithe in the firsthand backwash of the incident.
